Daily routines start early each morning. Residents are up, showered and ready for a day of various activities including Day Programs, a part time job for some or a day of activities/games at Rainbow House.
At the end of the day, our folks sit down and share dinner and their adventures as a family. Built on a "social" rather than a "institutional" model, Rainbow House helps residents regain lost social skills by providing a range of social opportunities.
Our people are given a home, a family of friends, loving hands to help them live their lives with vitality and an environment where their dignity is matter of fact. With the help and support of Rainbow House, some residents have been able to move on to assisted living and some have even been able to take on part-time jobs.
Residents are helped with their loss of cognition, ability to function, difficulty with speech, behavior problems, personality changes, movement and their short or long term memory loss. Rainbow House offers rehabilitation by helping them achieve their maximum functional potential.
Rainbow House operates in accordance with U. S. Department of Agriculture policy, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, age, handicap, religion or national origin.
