"Though medical professionals universally urged us to place Susan in a nursing home rather than attempt to care for her ourselves, we recognized that facilities that could suitably address the needs unique to the head injured simply did not exist. While caring for her at home for serveral years, we also realized that should anything happen to either of us, a nursing home was the only alternative available to Susan. That was until Rainbow House came into being. We can only describe Rainbow House as a miracle, an answer to prayers, that we know exists only as the result of the dedication and sacrifice of so many caring people concerned for the well being of others. Over the years that Susan has been at Rainbow House, we've seen her benefit greatly from the care and positive interaction provided there and watched her enjoy activities that we, individualy, would not be able to make available to her. Rainbow House and the people who have made it possible are a blessing to Susan, to the others there and to us."
