Testimonials

"When my wife and I retired to San Antonio area in 1999 we moved Vicki here to be close to us. We found Rainbow House. We cannot say enough good things about Rainbow House and the staff. The residents are given specialized, individual care and attention - not just custodial “feeding and watering” like in some nursing homes. The residents are encouraged and helped to fulfill activities of daily living as well as assuming some appropriate responsibilities. They provide activities that promote memory, coordination, and self-esteem. They are exposed to many types of stimulating and fun encounters, e.g. handicapped water skiing, rodeos, shopping trips as well as physical therapy."

"There should be a Rainbow House in every county!  Jodi would not be on her own if it weren't for RH.  I would never trust any other home with her.  It is so full of love for the clients and they have so much love to give to each other it is truly a home made by God!  The staff at RH are very special also."

"Though medical professionals universally urged us to place Susan in a nursing home rather than attempt to care for her ourselves, we recognized that facilities that could suitably address the needs unique to the head injured simply did not exist. While caring for her at home for serveral years, we also realized that should anything happen to either of us, a nursing home was the only alternative available to Susan. That was until Rainbow House came into  being. We can only describe Rainbow House as a miracle, an answer to prayers, that we know exists only as the result of the dedication and sacrifice of so many caring people concerned for the well being of others. Over the years that Susan has been at Rainbow House, we've seen her benefit greatly from the care and positive interaction provided there and watched her enjoy activities that we, individualy, would not be able to make available to her. Rainbow House and the people who have made it possible are a blessing to Susan, to the others there and to us."
